These two teams will play each other three times during the regular season, starting tonight. Since the 2020–2021 season, when they won 11 of 14 games, the Pelicans have dominated the Clippers.
Five players are listed on the Clippers’ injury report: Trentyn Flowers, P.J. Tucker, Terance Mann, Cam Christie, and Kawhi Leonard
The organization is hoping that Kawhi Leonard can make a quick recovery from his right knee injury, which will keep him out of action.
Trentyn Flowers is out because of his two-way contract, Terance Mann is out because of a fractured left middle finger, Cam Christie is out on a G League assignment, and P.J. Tucker is still not with the team because he is still looking for a new suitor.
Five players—Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, Jose Alvarado, Karlo Matkovic, and Yves Missi—are on the Pelicans’ injury report.
Yves Missi is doubtful with a mid-back contusion, Karlo Matkovic is out with a lower back disc protrusion, Jose Alvarado is out with a left hamstring strain, Brandon Ingram is out with a left ankle sprain, and Zion Williamson is still out with a left hamstring strain.
